Aniline Market Rises in Early October 2026 on Tight Supply and Upstream Cost Support

Oct 9, 2026 — China’s aniline market continues trending upward in early October after the National Day holiday. Major domestic manufacturers including Dongying Huatai officially raised aniline factory prices on October 9, kicking off the latest round of spot price increases in the aromatic chemical sector.

The upward movement is mainly driven by improved upstream cost support and tightened domestic supply. Crude oil prices remain strong amid persistent regional shipping risks, pushing pure benzene quotations higher. As the core feedstock of aniline, rising pure benzene costs have effectively boosted producer price sentiment and narrowed production margins, leaving factories with strong willingness to raise offers.

On the supply side, some domestic aniline units are still in post-holiday load adjustment phase, and overall spot circulation is relatively limited. Inventory levels remain low compared with the late Q3 period, providing solid support for current firm market prices.

In terms of downstream demand, MDI and rubber chemical sectors maintain steady consumption. Although downstream buyers still adopt cautious on-demand purchasing strategies to avoid high inventory pressure, rigid demand exists and effectively restricts sharp price declines.

Export inquiries for Chinese aniline have increased slightly in early October. Global buyers are paying close attention to China’s aromatic chemical price adjustments, as European and Southeast Asian regional supplies remain tense with high costs.

Market analysts forecast that the short-term aniline market will maintain a strong and volatile trend. Sustained pure benzene cost support and tight domestic spot supply will continue to dominate the market. Prices are expected to keep firm in mid-October unless raw material prices reverse significantly or downstream demand weakens sharply.
