Generally, the film-forming temperature of redispersible latex powder is above 0°C, while EVA products typically have a film-forming temperature around 0–5°C. At lower temperatures, film formation cannot occur (or the film quality is poor), which impairs the flexibility and adhesion of polymer mortar. Additionally, the dissolution rate of cellulose ether slows down at low temperatures, affecting the mortar’s adhesion and workability. Therefore, construction should be carried out above 5°C as much as possible to ensure project quality.
An early strength agent is an admixture that can improve the early strength of mortar without significantly affecting its late strength. According to its chemical composition, it is divided into organic and inorganic types: organic early strength agents include calcium formate, triethanolamine, triisopropanolamine, urea, etc.; inorganic ones include sulfates, chlorides, etc.
