Oxalic Acid Emergency Response: Isolate the contaminated area and restrict access. Cut off all ignition sources. It is recommended that emergency responders wear dust masks (full-face type) and protective clothing. Avoid raising dust; carefully sweep up the spilled oxalic acid material and transfer it to a safe place in bags. Alternatively, flush with plenty of water, dilute the wash water, and discharge it into the wastewater system. For large spills, cover with plastic sheeting or canvas. Collect for oxalic acid recycling or transport to waste disposal facilities for treatment.
