Oxalic Acid Handling Precautions
Operate in a closed system with local exhaust ventilation. Personnel must receive specialized training and strictly follow operating procedures. It is recommended that operators wear dust masks (full-face type), full-body rubberized protective clothing, and rubber gloves. Keep Oxalic Acid away from ignition sources and heat sources; smoking is strictly prohibited in the workplace. Use explosion-proof ventilation systems and equipment. Avoid generating dust. Avoid contact with alkalis and alkali metals. Handle and transport with care to prevent damage to Oxalic Acid packaging and containers. Equip fire-fighting equipment and spill response devices of appropriate types and quantities. Empty containers may retain harmful residues.
