(1) Requiring enterprises using and storing sodium hydrosulfite to establish and implement hazardous chemical safety management systems.

Enterprises using and storing sodium hydrosulfite are required to establish and implement a “Hazardous Chemicals Safety Management System.” This system includes provisions for the safe management of hazardous chemicals during procurement, storage, transportation, usage, and waste disposal. Furthermore, enterprises are required to organize training for relevant personnel, distribute the system document to workshops, warehouses, and teams, and ensure strict adherence by all involved personnel.

(2) Requiring enterprises to provide training and education for personnel involved in the use, procurement, and storage of sodium hydrosulfite.

The training content must include: the chemical name of sodium hydrosulfite; its safety-related physical and chemical properties; hazard symbols (spontaneously combustible material symbol); hazard classification (spontaneously combustible, irritant); hazardous physicochemical data; hazardous characteristics; on-site first aid measures; precautions for storage and transport; personal protective measures; and emergency response knowledge (including leak and fire-fighting methods). Personnel who have not undergone this training are not permitted to work in relevant roles.
