What is calcium formate?

Calcium Formate
According to China market research, calcium formate is a calcium salt of formic acid, containing 31% calcium and 69% formic acid. It has a neutral pH value and low moisture content. When mixed into feed as an additive, it does not cause vitamin loss; in the stomach environment, it dissociates into free formic acid, which lowers the stomach pH. Calcium formate has a high melting point and only decomposes above 400°C, so it remains stable during the feed pelleting process.
