The results show that Calcium Formate Ca(HCOO)₂ can significantly promote the setting of sulfoaluminate cement, shortening both the initial and final setting times. It notably reduces the induction period of cement hydration, advances the acceleration period, and increases the heat release value of the first hydration peak by 32%, while exerting no obvious influence on the hydration heat release rate during the stable period. Additionally, Calcium Formate Ca(HCOO)₂ can enhance the hydration rate of sulfoaluminate cement, improve the crystallinity of the hydration product calcium aluminate monocarboaluminate (AFt) in the early hydration stage, and make the early hydration products form a denser structure—without altering the hydration products or micro-morphology during the stable hydration period.
