This is because by 24h of hydration, the sulfoaluminate cement paste has completely hardened, the framework has formed, the hydration rate has dropped significantly, and the change in system alkalinity is minimal, so the formation rate of AFt is close to that of the blank sample. However, the characteristic peaks of the hydration product AFm are slightly enhanced. This is because the addition of Calcium Formate Ca(HCOO)₂ accelerates AFt formation in the early hydration stage, consuming more CaSO₄·2H₂O. By 24h of hydration, the content of CaSO₄·2H₂O in the system is lower than that in the blank sample, and the concentration of SO₄²⁻ in the liquid phase decreases, which promotes the transformation of AFt to AFm, thus producing more AFm. Nevertheless, all these acceleration phenomena gradually weaken with the extension of hydration time. Therefore, Calcium Formate Ca(HCOO)₂ mainly affects the early hydration of sulfoaluminate cement, with no obvious impact on the middle and late hydration stages.
