Diisopropyl Ether, also known as Isopropyl Ether, is a colorless organic solvent with a molecular weight of 102.175 and CAS No. 108-20-3. It has a density of 0.725 g/cm³, a boiling point of 68–69°C, and a refractive index of 1.367 at 20°C. Insoluble in water yet miscible with many organic solvents, including ethanol, ether, benzene, and chloroform, it is suitable for a range of laboratory and industrial solvent applications.

With a melting point of -85.5°C and a flash point of -28°C, Diisopropyl Ether is highly flammable and should be handled only in well-ventilated areas with appropriate safety controls. Store and use it in accordance with applicable regulations, away from heat, sparks, open flames, and incompatible materials.
