1. Monoethanolamine (MEA), also known as 2‑aminoethanol, CAS No.141‑43‑5, is a colorless, transparent and viscous liquid with slight ammonia‑like odor. It is miscible with water and alcohol in any proportion, and possesses both amine and alcohol functional groups, bringing excellent chemical reactivity. Our industrial grade MEA product reaches purity 99% minimum, with stable quality and low impurity content, which makes it widely adopted in oil & gas industry.

As the classic alkanolamine absorbent, MEA is dominantly used for removing hydrogen sulfide(H₂S) and carbon dioxide(CO₂) from natural gas, refinery gas and synthesis gas streams. It can efficiently absorb acid gas components under low‑pressure working conditions, and can be regenerated through heating process for cyclic reuse, greatly cutting operating cost for gas treatment plants. Apart from gas sweetening application, monoethanolamine also works as neutralizing agent in metal processing, raw material for surfactant synthesis, and corrosion inhibitor additive for industrial circulating water.
