    Our sodium formate is available in three grades to meet diverse application needs: premium, first, and qualified. The premium grade boasts a minimum purity of 97.0%, with NaOH content ≤0.50%, Na₂CO₃ ≤1.30%, NaCl ≤0.50%, Na₂S ≤0.06%, and moisture ≤0.50%. The first grade maintains a minimum purity of 95.0%, with NaOH ≤0.50%, Na₂CO₃ ≤1.50%, NaCl ≤1.50%, Na₂S ≤0.08%, and moisture ≤1.00%. The qualified grade features a minimum purity of 93.0%, with NaOH ≤1.00%, Na₂CO₃ ≤2.00%, NaCl ≤3.00%, Na₂S ≤0.10%, and moisture ≤1.50%.
    Thermal decomposition studies using differential thermal analysis and titration techniques show that heating rate and reaction temperature are critical factors affecting the yield of sodium oxalate from sodium formate. Pure sodium formate melts at 253°C and slowly decomposes into sodium carbonate, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and trace amounts of sodium oxalate at around 330°C. Above 400°C, it undergoes a vigorous exothermic reaction, dehydrogenating to form sodium oxalate, which then decomposes into sodium carbonate above 440°C. Therefore, rapid heating to 400–420°C is optimal for high-yield sodium oxalate production, as excessive heating will cause further decomposition.
